R-Space Gallery’s Creative Outreach Programme is currently funded by Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council. We have now been awarded additional funding by the Foyle Foundation to expand the programme and offer six additional arts projects to groups in greatest need with low engagement in the arts in the Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council area.

If you and your groups would like to take part, complete a short questionnaire. Thank you!

  • Arts Outreach Programme 2025

    Spring 2025

R-Space is delighted to deliver an arts outreach programme supported by the Halifax Foundation, and in collaboration with five groups across Lisburn. Participants with different abilities and backgrounds took part in a series of workshops, enjoyed getting creative and produced their own art. Their works will be presented in an exhibition open to all running between 28 May-7 June. Come along!

  • Longest Linen Tablecloth

We’re on a mission to make the Longest Linen Tablecloth as part of the 2023 Linen Biennale we have commissioned textile artist Emma Whitehead to begin the design process. This will be a co-designed and co-produced project with lots of opportunity to be involved, and eventually include an invitation to the big picnic when it’s completed! With thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

  • Patterns of Collaboration

Patterns of Collaboration is an inclusive project aimin to unite 20 participants from Northern Ireland's largest communities and ethnic minority groups through creative workshops. Led by Robert Peters, these sessions explore participants' cultural heritage via textile art, emphasising the significance of patterns in Ireland and beyond. All thanks to funding from the Community Relations Council.
