The Exhibition

R-Space presents ‘Creative Communities’, a celebration of the artworks and achievements of groups across communities in Lisburn who took part in our outreach programme. A variety of pieces will be on display - from paintings, to prints and textile pieces, reflecting participants’ interests, identity and connections with the city.

R-Space was delighted to deliver an arts outreach programme funded by the Halifax Foundation, and in collaboration with five groups across Lisburn - Action Mental Health, Lisburn Downtown Centre, Resurgam Development Trust, Stepping Stones Youth Service, and Pink Elephant Cards. Projects were facilitated by Robert Peters.

Our organisation strives to make the arts accessible and offer support to communities, especially to those most in need. Participants with different abilities and backgrounds took part in a series of workshops, enjoyed getting creative and produced their own art. They commented that the projects not only helped them with gaining artistic skills, but also contributed to their personal enrichment and wellbeing.

We hope their works will inspire others to express their creativity and enjoy the arts.
