Roll up, roll up for one day only…come and view the Wallace Rooms on the first floor above R-Space Gallery in Lisburn. Specially curated for this weekend only is a unique ‘recreation’ of Sir Richard & Lady Wallace’s salon of Victorian Lisburn. Featuring original Wallace Collection inspired artwork by glass artist Alison Lowry and ceramicist Vincent McDonnell, visitors can enjoy the ambience and entertainment once appreciated by the Wallace’s while marvelling at their surroundings. Enthusiast and lover of Wallace fountains, Anthea McWilliams will give a half-hour guided tour of the rooms, tell some stories of the Georgian building, introduce the art, there may even be some music from the gramophone and a guest appearance by Irish Tenor John McCormack.
