Lisburn: This Changes Everything
The Work of Shepard Fairey
Contemporary American artist Shepard Fairey occupies a space between fine, commercial and street art. Rising to prominence in the early 1990s through posters, stickers and murals related to his Obey Giant campaign, he quickly became an international cultural phenomenon. This selling exhibition of limited edition prints is presented at R-Space by a UK collector.
The overall theme of the exhibition is the environment and sustainability. It includes a screening of Avi Lewis’s film ‘This Changes Everything’ which was inspired by Naomi Klein’s book ‘Capitalism vs the Climate’.
On Saturday 15 October Gary Real Rowe created a new piece of street art on site, with a DJ sound clash, as well as the screening of ‘This Changes Everything’.
