Project Linlon exhibition 21 March to 18 April 2015
“Linlon” is a linen and nylon mono filament mixed thread developed by Nora Fok working with the Irish Linen Centre & Lisburn Museum and McConville’s Mill & Museum Dromore, County Down. The Exhibition will include examples of the sculptural body adornments created with “Linlon” and digital projections created by Nora Fok.

1-2pm Artist Talk with Nora Fok (free)
2-5pm Jewellery Making Masterclass with Nora Fok
In this fully interactive session, international artist Nora Fok will introduce nylon monofilament and other plastic materials suitable for jewellery making, such as acyrlic, rubber, polyester and resin.
Techniques used for nylon monofilament jewellery: knitting, knotting, tying, weaving, looping and others will be demonstrated, with samples and images provided.
Nora will then guide the group through weaving a ring, a knotted wrist piece and looping to make a spiral neck piece.
This is a hands-on workshop, with opportunities for discussion, feedback and questions.
Essential tools and materials will be provided. Participants are welcome to bring a selection of favourite materials for use in their own work e.g. fabrics, yarns, coloured threads, beads etc.
